To precede this post: This is not sponsored content. All content within this post are truly my own opinions and with no affiliation with the sites mentioned. Just a big fan!
Finding precedents, inspiration, and ideas are incredibly important. I am not a large blog (which is why I’m truly humbled and grateful that you are here! Thank you!) However we all need to have some sort of connection with others within our field. I am pleased to share other wonderful DIY/Design blogs so we can help each other find the inspiration for projects. This way we can all further our creative design skills!
DIY Blog: Almost Makes Perfect
Yaaaaay! Congrats to the Curator of Almost Makes Perfect! She recently announced her upcoming first born baby. That means for all those strong DIY mamas she will have a lot of children and baby DIY Blog projects. However, she has promised to her existing fans that she does not plan to change it into a mommy blog. Overall we all can enjoy her witty humor and optimistic approach to her DIY Blog.
She explains the name of her blog comes from the idea she could never get anything perfectly correct. This really resonates with me because I am the same way. I make mistakes, I have a hard time just putting things down to let the glue dry, and that’s okay! She reminds us all to not be too hard on ourselves and the fact we are taking the time to make and do things means we’re already doing more than the people sitting around doing nothing productive!
DIY Blog: Paper & Stitch
Paper & Stitch is run by a former art teacher turned blogger. Her art background really shines in her projects and site. She takes the time to take something that could be mundane but emphasizes that it does not have to be limited to the traditional ideas and methods. Paper & Stitch has a down to earth writing style, that is quirky, fun, and relatable; like talking to a friend rather than a successful DIY Blog. She understands the busy lifestyle most people lead so she curates regularly some quick project that can be finished in a weekend from her DIY blog as well as others like herself. This means more down the rabbit hole of wonderful DIY Blogs!
DIY Blog: Boho Berry
Obsessed with your bullet journal, travel journal, or planner? Want to write beautifully and be challenged in your planning activities? Boho Berry is just as obsessed with their handwriting and paper! This DIY Blog is more focused on one idea and enjoys challenging its readers with monthly goals to keep on track (and not give up!). The blog also hosts giveaways and lessons based on improving handwriting so if your scribe is more of a scrawl it is worth checking out this DIY blog.
DIY Blog: The House that Lars Built
The DIY Blog The House that Lars Built is a great mesh of fashion, interior design, and soaking up inspiration from her travels. The author of the blog has worked with some very prestigious names and lives a beautifully active lifestyle. She is also expecting a little one however it hasn’t stopped her from professing her fashion and interior design expertise. If you enjoy making your own accessories she has a very couture style to add to your look.
DIY Blog: Cuckoo4Design
Enjoy a bit of European influence? The owner of Cuckoo 4 Design is a German-born immigrant living in the states. She enjoys sharing her culture and bringing her traditions and influences to her designs as well as featuring a whole travel section for visiting Europe. This DIY Blog has a very clean elegant style in her projects which leads to an extremely sophisticated look. She has a history of interior design so she features a lot of home DIY to bring your environment up a notch.
